European Square Pillowcase
Initially LondonOur monogrammed European Square Pillowcase is a gorgeous, personal finishing touch to a beautifully dressed bed. We love to see two monogrammed square pillowcases sitting upright in front of the pillowcases used for sleeping.
Our 600 thread count pillowcases are finished by hand, with a mitered 6cm Oxford edge. The European pillowcase is woven on the jacquard loom using the best 100% cotton yarns, (50% Egyptian cotton)
We love a big single initial embroidered quite large in the centre in a really great font style like Niagara or Ivy or Antique Rose.
For a more discrete look, embroider the full set of initials rather small and centred at the top of the pillowcase.
As a really romantic gesture, use one of our traditional monogram shape fonts like Intertwined or Point to create a couple's monogram. In this kind of design, a couple's shared surname initial is placed in the centre, with the wife's first name initial to the left and the husband's first name initial to the right.
Another fun idea for pillow shams is to embroider a favourite saying (as in the Je T'aime pillowcase pictured here), or a name, a wedding date, a destination or house name or anything else we haven't thought of yet. Monogrammed pillow shams make really lovely wedding, anniversary or housewarming gifts. They are also great for students going off to university or boarding school.
If you have any particular ideas with respect to sizing and placement of the monogram, please mention this in Special Instructions and if we're in any doubt, we will follow up with you by email or phone.
Please note that the pillow insert is not included.
