Any star sign followers out there?
We asked one of our work experience interns this summer to look in to the star sign characteristics of each member of our team, and then design everybody a St James Washbag in the thread colour and font style which matches their star sign characteristics. Then we asked her to write this blog about it.
Is this indicative of the work we give our interns? Yes indeed.
Star Signs and Font Styles

Aries
21st March - 19th April
Highly motivated, determined
Red and Orange are Aries’ power colours because it demands attention, it enhances passion, energy and initiative and it supports Aries’ active nature and eagerness for life.
We chose Aries' font as Niagara because Aries are ambitious and leave an impact on people like Niagara does.
Taurus
20th April - 20th May
Down-to-earth, tenacious, reliable
Green is Taurus’ power colour because it nurtures Taurus’ spirit and reinforces it’s connection to nature, it represents growth for Taurus is a sign of absolute progress
Chancery is Taurus' font because it's a friendly font but strong and sturdy nevertheless.
Gemini
21st May - 20th June
Playful, curious, gregarious
Yellow lifts Gemini’s spirit whilst triggering curiosity and brilliant thoughts, it shines through in Gemini’s exciting, upbeat nature and it enhances Gemini’s mental powers and focus
We chose Cheltenham Tall for Gemini's font because its clear and communicative nature is helpful and serves as an excellent communicator.
Virgo
23rd August - 22nd September
Practical, sensible, perfectionists
Green and Brown keep Virgos grounded and focused on continuous growth, brown represents stability and green represents growth and a Virgo’s self-improvement
Bodoni was our chosen font for Virgos as it is charming and a natural fit on many of our products while also being very useful and practical.
Scorpio
23rd October - 21st November
Most emotional, deep thinking
Scorpio’s power colour is Purple or Navy because it keeps Scorpios intensely inquisitive, focused on transformation and strengthens its drive to look below the surface and question everything
We chose Shadow for Scorpio's font because it is purposeful, bold, and it is a Two Colour Font which releases legibility and control like Scorpios.
Pisces
19th February - 20th March
Sympathetic to others, emotionally aware
Light Green is Pisces’ colour because it brings about healing and renewal while connecting Pisces with its subconscious, it is the colour of life and it represents healing, rejuvenating energies
We chose Museo for Pisces' font because its trustworthy, perfect for bold monograms and helps you say a lot with a little.
